Dance Styles

Tap

 

Tap utilizes rhythmic sounds and beats that are created through the dancer's feet. Explore the classical styles as well as more contemporary variations of this art form, including hoofing.

Ballet

Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. We will explore barre, center, and across the floor exercises that will enhance physique, coordination, musicality, and grace. We stress the importance of footwork, balance, flexibility, and injury prevention. *Pointe classes offered

Jazz

Jazz is a high energy class that will explore technique, isolations, style, flexibility, and strength. Come learn several styles of jazz from the traditional to the contemporary.

Lyrical/Contemporary

Lyrical/Contemporary classes will mix the grace and precision of ballet with the style and emotion of jazz, and the grounded movements of modern dance. This class will encompass traditional and contemporary forms.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop will increase style, musicality, coordination, and strength. The styles will include, Tutting, Popping, Locking, Krumping, House and much, much more.

A Chance To Dance

A great class for dancers that learn and move differently. Dancers of all ages are invited to experience the joy of dance. We will create a program to meet each individual's needs (Locust location only).

Aerial Silks

Fly high and turn your workout upside down! Anyone can try our Aerial Silks classes, no prior experience necessary! *We are the only studio in York County to offer these classes.

Acrobatics

Acrobatic Dance, or Acro as it is commonly referred to by dancers and dance professionals, is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Often defined by unique choreography, acro dancers seamlessly blend musicality, emotional expression, lines and extension with acrobatic movements in a dance context. *We are one of 3 studios in the state of SC certified to teach these classes.
